The Madison Scouts were founded in 1938 and are the third oldest drum corps in the activity. The corps is one of two remaining all-male groups and was originally founded as a Boy Scout troop. The Scouts are now an active Venturing troop (Venture Crew 600) of the Boy Scouts of America and are registered with the Glacier’s Edge Council (formerly Four Lakes Council) in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Scouts enter their 74th season of continuous operations and are one of the most recognized drum corps throughout the world having been a DCI Finalist 35 times in the past 38 years. They are twice DCI World Champions having won in 1975 and 1988. The corps logo is the Fleur-de-lis and the corps song is “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
