Wesley Bullock marched Star of Indiana 1992-1993 (soprano and mellophone, respectively), and performed in Brass Theater 1994-1996. He has taught and consulted with the Kanto Gaquin Marching Band (from Yokohama, Japan) since 2006. Since 2008, he has been the drill writer and program coordinator for the Yokohama Inspires Drum and Bugle Corps. He has worked with Star United (the 3-time reigning DCA mini-corps champions) since they began in 2006.
He began performing on trumpet and as a conductor in BLAST! when it began in 1999. He has been the visual supervisor since 2001, and the artistic supervisor since 2005. He has also served as the artistic supervisor for M.I.X. In this capacity, he has helped train cast members to perform the music and choreography for both shows.
Wesley graduated from Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in music education in 1997. While there, he also studied ballet and Graham technique with Dance Kaleidoscope, a modern dance company in Indianapolis.
Since 2006, he has choreographed for and consulted with the Dallas Brass. And he first guest conducted the West Suburban Youth Orchestra of Chicago in 2009.
