Jason is currently the Assistant Band director at Knox Junior High School in The Woodlands, Texas.

Jason will be returning to the Madison Scouts Brass Staff, serving as a High Brass Tech for the 2012 season. He marched Mellophone with the Madison Scouts from 2002 – 2004 and was a soloist in the 2004 production.

Jason is an active trumpet player and teacher in the Houston area and has held clinics on brass pedagogy and leadership internationally. Since Jason assumed his position at Knox JH, his bands have received exclusively “Sweepstakes awards” at UIL contests and have been awarded the “Best In Class” or “Runner Up” award at every festival they have entered. Under Jason’s direction, the Knox Symphonic Band was the featured demonstration group for the Texas Bandmasters Association‘s professional development clinic on “Creating Sightreading Success for your Ensemble” in the spring of 2010.

Jason graduated Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a degree in Music Education. His professional affiliations include Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and the International Trumpet Guild. Jason currently resides in The Woodlands, Texas with his wife Jackie, their son Joseph, their dog Charlie, and their cat Lottie.
