Amanda Petersen is a native of Collierville, Tennessee. Amanda started marching with Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, she marched Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps and continued to march there until 2008. Amanda began teaching drum corps in 2009, working as a front ensemble technician at Memphis Sound. She worked with Forte's front ensemble in 2010 and in 2011, served on the administrative team at Carolina Crown.
Her WGI marching experience includes marching Gateway Indoor from 2006 to 2008 and Rhythm X in 2010. Since aging out, she has served as the Lead Front Ensemble Technician for Gateway Indoor. Amanda has also been an active front ensemble teacher for numerous groups throughout Memphis, TN and Dayton, OH. The groups she has worked with include George W. Mason and Collierville High School, where she has been the front ensemble caption head since 2005.
In May 2011, Amanda graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Music and Spanish. She currently resides in Memphis, TN and is pursuing a career in Retail Management.
