Barrera was the program coordinator for the Blue Devils from 1992 - 2004, during which time they won five DCI Championships.

He is the current and longtime band director at James Logan H.S. (CA) which has won 9 Western Band Association Marching Band Championships and was recently invited to perform at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics in China.

The James Logan Winter Guard has been among the elite of WGI, and has won 10 consecutive championships from 1998-2007.

Throughout his 30-year musical education career, Ramiro’s groups have consistently been recognized for their performance and competitive success.
