Jeff earned a degree in public relations and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and has worked for Yamaha both in product management and as a clinician teaching at the International Music Camp and the "Sounds of Summer" clinic circuit.

He started his musical career as a percussionist with the Madison Jr. Scouts in 1989 before moving to the Madison Scouts in 1990. He served as the percussion section leader for 2 years before aging out in 1995.

Jeff has instructed numerous drum corps throughout the Midwest including the Madison Jr. Scouts, Phantom Regiment Cadets, Pioneer and Capital Sound. He has taught, written and consulted for many high schools, colleges and drum lines including the Regina Lions Band, The Sound of Sun Prairie and UW-Whitewater Bands. In 1999, he joined the Scouts percussion staff as a full-time battery/snare tech and contributing writer.

Jeff worked for Drum Corps World for a brief period before becoming a featured percussion soloist in the Orlando production of the renowned musical stage show Blast!. Jeff continues to play, teach and pursue music. He currently resides in Madison with his wife and two children.
